CredAble Crosses ₹25,000 crore in festive working capital for MSMEs and corporates, 2x last season’s total

More than 60% of SMEs on CredAble’s platform stocked up for the festive season, while early payment gained traction in Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets.

Mumbai, 6th November, 2026 — CredAble enabled over ₹25,000 crore in working capital during the festive period through October 2026, more than 2x the amount enabled in the same period last year. The number of SMEs financed rose 20% as businesses across industries built inventory and expanded capacity to meet festive demand.

The seasonal build-up coincided with higher input costs. Geopolitical disruptions and higher energy costs put pressure on the cost of materials, production and transport, increasing the liquidity suppliers needed to fulfil orders before customers paid. The combination of higher order volumes and higher costs contributed to an increase in both the value of financing enabled and demand for supply chain finance.

CredAble observed that more than 60% of SMEs on its platform increased inventories, while 30% to 35% expanded distribution networks and operating capacity. Businesses in manufacturing, consumer durables, electronics, textiles, retail and FMCG broadened their product ranges and stocked up. Logistics, services and infrastructure businesses focused on expanding capacity and improving service delivery.

Festive credit demand typically picks up 30 to 45 days before sales, when businesses buy materials, build stock and prepare for higher order volumes. The need for liquidity can persist through the sales period as suppliers replenish stock and make deliveries while earlier invoices remain outstanding.

That pressure showed up across industries. Compared with typical non-festive quarters, early payment requirements rose by nearly 50% across FMCG, manufacturing and D2C businesses, close to 45% across logistics and apparel, and over 70% across quick commerce and e-commerce.

Nearly 55% of CredAble’s partner corporates encouraged suppliers to use early payment solutions, with adoption gaining traction in Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets alongside metros. CredAble also observed greater digital maturity among SMEs with digital financing options such as invoice discounting. Its payables financing solution connects more than 175 corporates with over 100 financial institutions, allowing eligible suppliers to access funds against approved invoices before they fall due and use the proceeds to fund their next operating cycle.

As festive demand rose and higher input costs increased suppliers’ working capital needs, CredAble expanded its use of AI to prioritise supplier outreach and guide vendors through digital onboarding. This helped more corporates extend early payment programmes across their vendor networks and enabled suppliers to complete enrolment faster.

Ashutosh Taparia, CEO, CredAble, said, “For a supplier deciding whether to take on the next order, the timing of funding can matter as much as the amount available. We accelerated our use of AI to prioritise outreach and speed up digital onboarding, helping more corporates offer early payment and suppliers enrol faster. Our supplier propensity model will help corporates identify vendors likely to benefit, while our document intelligence platform will flag missing information earlier. Going forward, these AI-led capabilities can help corporates reach suppliers sooner and shorten the time from first contact to funding.”

CredAble expects to enable an additional ₹10,000 crore in working capital through January 2027, extending financing support beyond the festive peak. Across its broader platform, the company enables over US$11 billion in working capital annually. Its global network spans more than 175 corporates and over 3,50,000 SMEs.
